Originally from Ireland, Emma came to Australia with her husband in 2008 to travel the country on a working holiday. They moved to Geraldton in 2011 and after just three months they decided it was home and bought their first house.
Emma has worked as a tax consultant with H&R Block, finance officer with the Mid West Development Commission, and also ran her own small business.
Emma loves helping people better understand what is required of them as a business owner, and to succeed in their business ventures.
With a decade of business, administration and financial experience, Emma has expertise in a variety of areas including taxation, superannuation, accounts, payroll, management, finance and business operations.
A quick study, Emma masters new software and systems with ease and is an expert in MYOB, Xero, Google and impressively, the ATO website.
When she’s not busy with her two young children, Emma is actively involved in her local community including:
- Treasurer for the Wandina Parents & Citizens Association;
- Secretary for Funtavia Inc;
- completing LEAD which is a Leadership, Exploration and Development program run through Ngala;
- Company Secretary for Geraldton Community Bank Branch of Bendigo Bank.
Emma also facilitates TNT – Try New Things for women in Geraldton which has seen them having a go at shooting, surfing, burlesque, belly dancing, volleyball, pottery making and more.
